Clarins new Vital Light Serum is designed to repair, brighten and smooth out your skin priced at £56 this new product uses Hexylresorcinol which helps to reduce the excess production of melanin, Spergularia a pioneer plant extract also helps to reinforce the effectiveness of the Hexylresorcinol which reduces the appearence of dark spots. Waltheria plant extract is used to stimulate the production of new collagen whilst protecting existing collagen that plumps out the skin this in turn creates a beautiful skin tone with reduced appearence of fine lines. The product also uses Katafray bark this plant extract stimulates the production of the protein filaggrin which boosts the skin's natural moisturising factor.
If your reaching a point where your skin is looking dull, lined and uneven it might be worth trying, £56 is a large sum of money though to most women the chance of looking younger is all too irrestible.

This is a tutorial that I wanted to do but left it late in the day to photograph and so it was a rush job before the sun went down so please excuse the sloppy look of the nails it should have looked a lot better.
1. Use any two colours of your choice making sure one is lighter than the other to see the contrast in colours.
2. Paint the whole nail first with the lighter colour I would normally use a base coat as this stops nail polish from staining the nails and gives something for the varnish to adhere to.
3. When polish is completely dry (which is what I did not do) apply cellotape to one nail not the strong stuff as it peels of the varnish, on a slant or however way you want the effect then apply the darker polish as soon as you have done the one nail remove the cellotape slowly straight away, apply this process to each nail one at a time. My tip would be to cut ten pieces of cellotape ready to apply on the edge of the table or something as it is a nightmare trying to do it with wet fingernails.
The end result funky nails if I had more time they would have looked awesome!
If you want your hard work to last longer apply a top coat!

Boots 17 Photo Flawless Primer £4.99
Boots No7 Colour Calming Primer £11
Primer acts as an undercoat before applying foundation to make it last longer, people with greasy skin such as myself will find that foundation slids off throughout the day and the grease comes through, primer also is great if you have enlarged pores as it will help to even out skin tone.
I decided to try two very different primers and had two very different results.
17 Photo Flawless Primer is priced at a mere £4.99 and the results were amazing I love this product! The cream is satin smooth which makes it lovely to apply, you just need a little as it goes a long way making your face feel soft creating a lovely base for your foundation.
I regularly check my face throughout the day as I have really greasy skin it can look terrible after a few hours of applying my makeup, my skin still looked radiant at the end of the evening using this product.
I would rate this product 5 out of 5
No7 Colour Calming Primer is over double the price of the 17 primer at £11 though to be fair it is 3 times the size so you can't complain or can you. The cream is bright green so if you apply too much you will look like Shrek, the product is quite dry to apply making your face more of a matte base which I dont like as when you apply your foundation it drags and becomes uneven which defies the whole point of using primer. The primer also started to crumble in places as I was applying my foundation so I not only had green tinges in places but also dry flakey dry patches, I am an avid fan of No7 products but would not recommend this one and rate it 1.5 out of 5
My celebrity beauty icon is Helena Bonham-Carter. She's so unique
Well done Lady Morticia as soon as I have your address details I will pop it in the post!
